Who We Are

Elijah’s Promise is dedicated to harnessing the power of food to support individuals and strengthen community food systems. We serve over 35,000 meals each month through our community soup kitchen, located at 18 Neilson Street, and our mobile meal program, which operates at designated locations throughout the week.

Important Information for Volunteers:

  • Volunteer shifts are only visible if they are available. If no shifts appear, it means there are no openings for that day.
  • Please arrive on time for your shift and dress comfortably, adhering to any safety or hygiene requirements. Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
  • Volunteers play a vital role in meal preparation, serving, and supporting our programs. Your contributions make a significant impact on our community. Thank you for helping us fight hunger and build a stronger community!

Volunteers can expect our calendar to be open 1 month in advance. We post our volunteer schedule as follows;

What We Do

Since the start of the pandemic, the need at our Community Soup Kitchen has grown tremendously. We remain committed to serving all who come through our doors, providing meals that are both nutritious and delicious. To ensure the safety of our guests and staff, all meals are currently served to-go.
